Why I created Plot Twist Book Club
A few years ago, I realized my life had quietly become a routine.
Work. Kiddo. Sports. School. Playdates. Laundry. Dinner. Repeat.

I love being a mom, and I genuinely love what I do. But somewhere along the way, I realized I was missing something.
I missed meeting interesting people. I missed conversations that didn't revolve around work, school schedules, or what was for dinner.
I wanted something that got me out of the house once a month. A reason to reconnect with old friends. A chance to make new ones. A great book. A conversation that made me think.
And I figured… maybe I wasn't the only one.
Books have a way of doing that. They introduce us to different lives, different perspectives, impossible choices, and questions we may never have asked ourselves otherwise.
Those are the conversations I wanted to have.
So I created Plot Twist Book Club. Not because we needed another thing on our calendars (LOL), but because I think we all deserve one evening each month that's just for us.
A place to discover incredible books, meet interesting people, share ideas, laugh, challenge each other, and leave with a few new perspectives… and hopefully a few new friends.
Because sometimes the best part of the story is everything that happens after you close the book.
What makes us different?
Every month is built around one great book. But every month is a little different.
Because of my work in publishing and public relations, our readers will occasionally have opportunities that most book clubs simply can't offer.

Some months we'll simply gather over a great book.
Other months… you never know who might walk through the door.
We actually talk about the book
I've heard the same thing from so many people who've joined book clubs. The conversation starts with the book… and somehow ends up everywhere else. An hour later, everyone knows what's happening in each other's lives, but no one really talked about the story.
I wanted something different. Before each meeting, I'll send a handful of discussion questions. They're not homework. There's nothing to turn in. No one's grading your answers, LOL.
They're simply conversation starters — questions that make you stop for a second, highlight a page, rethink a character, or think, "I can't wait to hear what everyone else says."
If Gossip Girl had a book club… we'd probably be it.
The characters are our latest obsession. The plot twists are the tea. The ending is what everyone's talking about.
We'll debate characters, defend unpopular opinions, dissect shocking endings, and probably change each other's minds once or twice. oor tw twi
We'll absolutely catch up before and after the meeting.
But when we sit down… the book gets the spotlight.
Because every great story deserves a great conversation.
A few things you're probably wondering….

No. Plot Twist Book Club is completely free to join. You'll purchase, borrow, or listen to the monthly book in your preferred format.

Come anyway. Life happens. The goal isn't perfection — it's great conversation.

Yes, I prefer to keep it for women only at this time.

Once a month. We'll choose the day, time, and location that work best for the group.

We'll begin around Delray Beach and explore local coffee shops, restaurants, bookstores, wine bars, breweries, and other fun spaces that make for a great evening together. Every meeting may be somewhere a little different.

We'll mix it up — thrillers, historical fiction, women's fiction, memoirs, romance, literary fiction, mystery, and the occasional nonfiction title. The goal is to discover books we'd probably never have picked up on our own.

No — those will be special surprises throughout the year. But thanks to relationships throughout the publishing industry, we'll occasionally have opportunities for author visits, live Q&As, signed books, and other experiences you won't find in most book clubs.

I'll curate many of our selections, but readers will also have a voice. We'll vote, take recommendations, and occasionally let an author introduce us to their own story.
